The Glasshouse Restoration
We always enjoy the restoration of garden buildings to their former glory.

With consultation with the client and careful planning, plus one or two modern additions, they can not only look very attractive but serve the purpose for which they were originally designed, extremely well.

This elderly greenhouse and potting shed in the Scottish Borders is an example of our restoration work which commenced in 2003

After agreement with the client, it was decided we would restore both of these adjoining buildings; preserving the existing vine, in residence in the glasshouse!

Our plans were drawn up for the necessary re-building and following approval, our work commenced in January.

The whole project was completed in August and the glasshouse is now a more comfortable home for the grape vine!

A selection of beautiful hot house plants are now sharing the space and with some bedding, herbaceous and vegetable seedlings which are growing on well, to be planted out in the Spring.

The few pictures below show the finished restoration project.
