The Cottage Gardens

Cottage Gardens, large or small, are always a delight.

They are frequently designed and planted in a traditional style with pathways and lawned areas surrounded by herbaceous borders.

As can be seen on the right they are certain to provide a riot of colour to look forward to, especially in spring and summer!

The pictures below may give you a few planting ideas for your own cottage garden.

< Sweet peas, clematis and honeysuckle, start to climb their frame which catches the eye at the bottom of the garden and adds a formal touch to the random wild-flower planting in this area.

A flame coloured tea rose is in full bloom in June, beside the pathway it is under planted with small dahlias for more colour in the Autumn.>

Especially in a small garden, pots and baskets are easy to maintain and add interest and colour.

A hanging basket beside the door is a welcoming sight for visitors and even more so, if planted with scented flowers!

More pictures will be added here soon but if you would like some more ideas for your cottage garden, please Contact Us!
