The Gardeners

We have a wonderful team of three gardeners who work with us on various design and building projects and help us to maintain the gardens for our clients.

Everyone seems to have specialist skills which are very useful and their cheerful company makes 'work' a pleasure for everyone!

We would like to introduce you to them all here -

Rob has to be the first, as he's with us since the start of Garden Affairs and we've known him as a good friend, for even longer!

Having a great sense of humour, Rob is always fun to be with. He loves the 'outdoor' life and his constructional skills are invaluable in the gardens.

In his spare time Rob enjoys walking, hill climbing and abseiling and in quieter moments, playing his guitar or, when not so quiet, the drums!

Jane has been a family friend for many years and worked at Garden Affairs after leaving school and before joining a local estate as a gardener in East Lothian.

From there she trained for the RHS Certificate in Horticulture, which was followed by a move to work in France for two years to broaden her horizons! We were very pleased when she returned home in 2005 to Garden Affairs once again!

As is a very highly valued and well known member of our team, Jane contributes many creative ideas as well as her specialist knowledge of plants and how to propagate and care for them.

Ian has been with us for nearly five years and is a very fit and energetic member of the Garden Affairs gardening team.

An excellent gardener in any respects, Ian is also very skilled in the use of garden machinery for trimming hedges and mowing lawns as well as an expert in pruning and in the use of the 'loppers'!

In his spare time, at every opportunity, Ian will be found on the football pitch at Wast Barns in East Lothian, where he is a regular and respected member of their team too!
